About these Yoga Classes

Balance

Finding balance in mind, body, spirit and emotion is essential for living a meaningful and healthy life. Together, we seek finding balance through a variety of techniques, including breathwork, kriyas, meditation, and physical postures. Balance is not attainted, and then put on display; much like happiness, it is an ongoing process. Full of laughs and struggles and everything in between.

Health

Yoga is a powerful tool for improving physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health. Classes are designed to improve flexibility, strength, and balance, while (hopefully) reducing stress and promoting relaxation. The classes are accessible to all, though I am only currently licensed to teach adults or youth aged 12+ with parental consent.

Community

Community is essential for personal growth and well-being. My intention is to create a warm and welcoming environment where we seek to make everyone feel supported and valued. Classes are community focused, and are based on what I feel best served the group in the moment and we seek to foster a sense of connection with our fellow yogis. New or experienced, come say hello.

My Mission

My mission is to help us find balance and harmony in our daily lives, no matter how hectic the city may be. I believe that yoga is more than just a physical practice – it's a way to connect with yourself, your community, and the natural world around you. My classes hope to meet you where you are, whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi. You know your body better than any teacher could and I hope to empower my students to trust themselves. I offer a variety of styles and levels, so you can find the right practice for your body and your mind.

About the Classes and Teacher

Who should sign up?

Join us for an approachable yoga class that combines both the movements you might expect from a gentle beginner class with breath and chanting techniques. More active movements in the form of kriyas are sometimes incorporated. This class is suitable for people new to yoga or experienced practitioners wanting a slow but energetic class that provides a lot of opportunity to explore deeper elements of practice.

What should I bring?

Here are a few things you'll want to bring to make the most of our time together:

Who teaches this class?

My name is A.J. Wrenn. I'm a certified yoga teacher with hundreds of hours of experience. I'm on my journey through life and would be delighted to have you join me.

When I'm not instructing you can find me going on tangents about fermented foods, cycling, or nutrition!
